Cotton Yarn, Cotton Fabric, Wire, and Willow Tree Spikes

Laser-cut Persian poem in Farsi forms the background of a dress shape inspired by the Brocaded Taffeta Robe, worn in Iran in the 17th and 18th centuries. Willow Tree Spikes are coming out from the middle on top of the dress to create a feeling of growth.

This work is about voiceless women living in oppressive societies in which men have the power in hand. It represents the enormous effort that a woman needs to show toward growth, improvement, and creation. It is a fact that a woman could blossom, even though hard rocks.
